When visiting the capital of Great Poland voivodeship it is hard to resist the temptation to take some unforgettable photos. The city, however, is quite large, and its most beautiful attractions can be well hidden. That is why in this article I will present a few spots that will fit perfectly into your Instagram profiles
A REST SHED WITH A SWING
Appropriate light, perspective and an interesting pose are half of the success. By adding a nice, photogenic place you will get an unforgettable effect. The first offer for such place will be a rest shed, surrounded by green and nature. It is an ideal area to hide from the crowded center and relax for a bit. As a special attraction in that spot you can find a swing, overlooking the lake.
You can get there by bus: to the “Browarna Młyn” stop by using bus No 157 from “Rondo Śródka” and No 166 from “Rondo Rataje”.
THE PATH IN THE TREE CROWNS
Another place will take us off the ground, as it will be a walk among the green tree branches covered in leaves. It is a recreational area and viewing point from which you can admire nature from a different perspective. The footbridge among the Poznan’s trees above the greenhouse can be visited 24 hours a day. Though, while picking the time of the trip, you must remember that there is no lighting there, since it is located in the forest :D :D.
You can get there by bus No. 184 from the direction of Rataje, Chartowo, Żegrze or Rondo Śródka and get off at the "Nowe Zoo" bus stop, from the final stop, walk about 200 m along Krańcowa Street. Turn right and after a short walk you will see the footbridge.
You can also get to the footbridge and from there take trams No 6 and 8. Get off at the "Mogileńska" stop and walk along Mogileńska Street. The road from the stop to the footbridge is about 1 km long.
COURTYARD OF THE "AT FRIENDS" - “U PRZYJACIÓŁ” CAFÉ
Another idea of spending time in a beautiful place is a cafe with a vintage touch. Entering this place from a busy, noisy street will make you feel like a time traveler. The fact that once in a while you can meet a cat basking in the sun there adds a certain charm to that lovely place. The cafe is located at Mielżyńskiego 27/29.
WILSON PARK
This is one of the most well-kept, beautiful, and interesting parks in Poznań. It is also considered to be the oldest botanical garden. Located in the Łazarz district, at Śniadeckich 30 Street. It is open from 5 am to 10 pm.
GALERIA MM
A great location to see the city from above is the MM Gallery observation deck. Right after you get to the restaurant part on the top floor, you will be fascinated by the view of Aleja Marcinkowskiego from the terrace. The observation deck is available from 12 pm, until the gallery is closed. You can also reserve a table right on the terrace.
The entrances to the Gallery are from Aleja Marcinkowskiego and from Święty Marcin Street.
