The academic year is coming to an end, but we’re not slowing down! Check out last week’s attractions.
Wednesday, May 23rd. Wednesday was a fantastic day for all diehard Harry Potter fans! A screening of one of the series’ films – this time around Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone from 2002 – was organised in the Danuśka student dorm. Viewers had yet another opportunity to see the first meeting of the two opposing powers – Harry Potter and Voldemort. Nevertheless, that’s not all we prepared for the night! We had even more fun playing with the magic potions. Each time Harry’s lightning shaped scar or a scene with an eating Ron Wesley would come onto screen, we had to take a sip.
Thursday, May 24th. We decided to spend this day in an active way. A train took us all the way to Puszczykowo where we started our kayak trip. As many as 18 kayaks began their ride towards Poznań in a quest for an amazing adventure while surrounded by beautiful nature. The finish line at the Saint Roch bridge greeted everyone with a much-deserved award – a group barbecue and lots of fun! The kayak trip proved greatly successful and we will definitely be back with one (or two) again!
Saturday, May 26th. This was one of our last trips of the semester – this time we went to a nearby town called Kórnik, famous for its historical castle and its park with rare tree species. We could not omit any of the Działyński family’s chambers, while at the same time also learning the legend of the White Lady who, according to the story, regularly shows herself to the visitors! We then moved on to the park to admire the original creations of nature and fully soak in the beautiful sunny weather. What a great trip!
