Wow, so much happening! Last two weeks were full of educational events mixed with lots of fun and topped with a trip to Wrocław. Read more below!

Thursday, April 5th. Another edition of Local Education Officer project’s signature events, namely Let’s talk about mobility, took place on Thursday. Two full classrooms of high school students have participated in the workshops with the conversations traditionally focusing on the idea of mobility and its advantages, such as increasing a potential employee’s job market value. The concept of Erasmus+ as a whole was also given a closer look: the listeners could not only find out more about the famous “Erasmus”, but also about their own exchange prospects. Veterans discussed their own journeys to Spain and the life of a Spanish student in Poland. Let’s hope the students have been bitten by the travel bug!

Saturday, April 7th. Our section is growing! On Saturday we held a meeting for our ESN interns. Fresher’s Day was an all-day introduction to ESN, where the interns could find out everything about ESN on the local and national levels. Later, future ESN-ers had an opportunity to learn a few things about project management — one of many very useful skills in our work, and then also about personal branding. It was a day full of knowledge and a chance to bond with ESN for good!

Saturday, April 7th. Enriched with new knowledge and valuable skills from the training day, we went with Freshers and members of ESN UAM Poznań for an ESN Night, where we faced a completely new challenge. During our meeting in the TUTEJ pub we were trying to reach the singing level of the greatest Polish and international music stars. To everyone’s amazement, our Freshers did just great! Our singing struggles lasted almost until dawn, but we don’t regret one minute of the time spent together. We will definitely get back to karaoke again, with the same energy and enthusiasm! Get ready for the new generation of ESN-ers!

Monday, April 9th. Erasmus without secrets – this all-telling name is an ever-lasting slogan of an informational event designed to share the word about Erasmus+ exchanges. All aspects of those have been described in detail – from those more formal to the purely practical ones – and a small group of listeners allowed for a fully individual approach to better address their questions and doubts. Also in line with their needs, the Monday meeting focused solely on exchange opportunities in Germany and Hungary. We wish you the most amazing journeys and lots of memorable adventures!

Wednesday, April 11th. Erasmus students  and ESN members met once again on Wednesday to explore the most popular pubs of Poznań. Pub crawl was a great opportunity to check out nice places where they could get to know each other, especially that there are quite some new faces in our ESN clique! Every new place awaited the participants with social games meant to set the perfect environment to make new friends. Eventually, the group settled down in their favourite Kultowa Pub, where other students and ESN members joined them to chat and share their feelings about this fantastic night.

Thursday, April 12th. April 14th is an unofficial Day of the Homeless and hence an excellent opportunity to spread some #SociaLove! That’s why on Thursday an international  group of students from Italy, Turkey, Spain, the Philippines, Greece, and China teamed up to help the brave sister Leopolda in giving out free meals, and to support her soup kitchen. It was, as always, an amazing experience for all participants. You are already asking us about another event – don’t worry, we’ll be back in May! And next week we begin Social Inclusion Days – stay tuned, there will be a lot going on!

Saturday – Sunday, April 14th-15th. The last weekend was all about travelling – this time students and ESN members visited the beautiful and magical Wrocław. After checking in at a hotel, all participants went for a guided city tour, then visited Hydropolis and took some time to shop at the Galeria Dominikańska mall. They also used some free time to buy souvenirs and go to restaurants and clubs together. Both Africarium and the Zoo, where the participants could see some exotic animal species, met with great interest. And so did Sky Tower – the tallest building in Poland. This trip was definitely a success!
