We were looking for the best option to say goodbye to winter in an epic way and there it is – a trip to Wrocław! What can be better than a visit to one of the biggest cities in Poland, nice people around and program full of surprises?

The trip took place at the weekend 19th-20th March. We set off on Saturday morning and arrived around 12 o’clock in sunny Wrocław – the weather was perfect to go sightseeing! We were lucky because our guides were girls from ESN UE Wrocław - thank you once more, you did a good job! We walked around the center, saw all the most important places: the Old Town with a beautiful Market Square which, as people say, is the heart of Wrocław, and also Ostrów Tumski, which is said to be the soul of the city, and many more monuments. After sightseeing the next step on our trip agenda was a magical Hydropolis - the most modern, interactive exhibition about water.

What about the evening? Dinner, integration, chilling out together... and party in one of the best clubs in Wrocław!

The following day could not be worse! So after breakfast we had a possibility to admire the panorama of Wrocław from the viewpoint of the highest building in Poland – a totally breathtaking view! But a visit to Wrocław cannot be complete without seeing the Centennial Hall. It is the city’s only UNESCO World Heritage site, this outstanding piece of architecture turned 100 years in 2013 and is surrounded by beautiful parks and gardens, including Wrocław’s Zoo with the only Africarium in Poland, where we had a good time for a couple of hours.

After getting on a train back to Poznań, it was a pleasure for the ESN members to hear lots of positive comments from the Erasmus students and see smile on all of their tired but satisfied faces. One big „dziękuję” to all participants, without you it would not have been the same!
